Menù Musicale di Piero Filoni
L’idea del menù musicale mi è venuta circa vent’anni fa. Avevo un repertorio talmente vasto che ho pensato: “perché non fare scegliere alla gente?”.
Ha avuto un successo talmente immediato e folgorante che ho continuato a portarlo con me nei live, aggiornandolo continuamente. La gente sceglie il brano e in automatico diventa parte della performance. Lo metto sui tavoli o sui marciapiedi e la gente inizia a sfogliare, a parlare con gli amici o con chi è li con loro ad assistere allo spettacolo.
Metà dei menù musicali alla fine dello spettacolo spariscono e non riesco a capire il perché… non poteva solo essere una sorta di ricordo della serata perché di solito quel ricordo lo si porta via con una foto.
Chiedendo alle persone ho scoperto una cosa meravigliosa… portavano via il menù, andavano a casa e si ricercavano tutti i pezzi sulla lista dicendomi: “Hai suonato canzoni bellissime, molte che non conoscevo e sono sicuro che anche il resto del repertorio che non conosco sarà una meravigliosa scoperta”. Questo mi commuove molto. L’interazione col mio pubblico è oramai talmente profonda che sono loro stessi che mi danno suggerimenti sull’aggiornamento e la scelta dei prossimi brani da inserire….

The idea of the musical menu came to me about twenty years ago. I had such a huge repertory that I thought about “ letting the people choose their own song”.
It has been such a fast and growing success that I took it along with me in every gig I made, constantly updating it. The crowd chooses the song and automatically becomes part of the show. I place it on the tables or on the sidewalk and they start to browse the menu, talk to friends or to whoever is standing beside then and in front of me.
Half of the menu I place around me disappear and I couldn’t understand why, it could not be only because of a search of a souvenir of the show because that sort of souvenir is usually taken by a picture or a video. By asking the people I found out an amazing truth…they were taking the menu to rush home to download the whole list of songs while telling me “ you’ve done so beautiful songs, a lot that I didn’t know and I’m sure that the rest of them will be an wonderful discovery”. This moves me very much. The interaction with my fans by now is so deep that they are asking me, constantly, for new songs that they recommend and I do my best to please them.
